Meet Catherine
After more than ten years as a freelancer working across design, events, administration and communications, I realised that the thread running through all my work was simple: I love helping people bring clarity to the chaos. Whether it’s a creative project, a logistical tangle or a long list of tasks that need a steady pair of hands, I’m happiest when I can make someone’s day run more smoothly.
I’ve always been drawn to the creative side of problem‑solving, taking something unclear or a bit overwhelming and finding a solution that feels thoughtful and sometimes unexpected! Over the years of running my own small business, with lots of projects on the go, I’ve become comfortable juggling different tasks, and pretty speedy at getting admin done accurately. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people, and building good working relationships is one of my favourite parts of the job. Many of my clients have worked with me since the very beginning of my freelance career, which I take as the highest compliment.
When I join a new client or team, I like to make a positive difference straight away. I pick things up quickly, adapt easily and slot in without needing much hand‑holding. I’m naturally reliable, flexible and always happy to help. I’m confident with all the usual IT tools, and I’ve taught myself everything from web design to accounting and customer service systems over the years, so learning new software feels second nature.
Outside of work, I’m a collector of slightly eclectic skills - lindy hop, aerial silks, digital drawing and pottery have all made their way onto the list. You’ll often find me researching something that’s caught my eye or dreaming up unexpected ideas. And when I’m not doing that, I’m in my Cambridgeshire village, curled up on the sofa with my dog (officially the Soppiest Dog in the World), a cosy blanket and the rain tapping at the windows.
If you’re reading this and thinking we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you need ongoing support or just an extra pair of hands now and then, you’re always welcome to get in touch and tell me what you’re working on. Let’s see how we can make your days run a little smoother.
